DIY – Introduction
– July 17, 2009Posted in: All Episodes, Do It Yourself

I plan to move in a couple of weeks from a bed bug treated, supposedly "clean" apartment to a newly renovated apartment in a 40 year old condo building without any known infestation problems. I don't plan to bring my old furniture or electronics but must bring my shoes, clothes, linens, Videocasettes, CDs, DVDs, papers and books, toiletries, and knick-knacks.
I plan to have the laundromat and cleaners pick up and "treat" the clothes (they say they know about the hot water and hot dryer) but I am not sure how to handle the rest of the stuff. I don't have my own washing machine. I do not have a dryer to use for giving the shoes the heat treatment (can the rubber soled shoes stand the high heat setting on the dryer anyway?)
What can I do about my DVDs, CDs, and video casettes? framed photos, etc?
Thanking you in advance,
Martha
